Mirjam is my sister in law, and when someone so close to you gets married you really want to do somethign special. Rok, besides of being one of that persons that you want to have around all the time, is that rare kind of man that cares about details, so they both were fully implicated on the wedding planning process. They are both simple but elegant people, and they wanted this to be reflected at their wedding.
We spent weeks recording and crafting the radio show invitations, rice paper cones, candle jars... We did all of the boutonieres four or five days before the wedding, as they were made with fresh rosemary, lavender and other aromatic plants. It was such a nice scent!
I also made the burlap&lace table runner with their initials. This wedding had over 100 guests and they didn't had enough budget to make table runners for every table, so we focused on the main newly wed table to make it shine.
As a surprise for them I set a hallway with instant photos of different moments of their relation so they would see it walking down the aile. There was also hanging pens so the guests could write their wishes on the photos.
Mirjam and Rok's wedding
Best photo ever!
Advise: If you want great photos, be spontaneous, crazy, original... be yourself! Don't force romantic, experiment and let yourself go.
The rest of the decoration was simple but very romantic: pink and violet hydrangea, mason jars with burlap and lace as candle holders, old Vinyls as table numbers... I also used the leafs as a decoration. The menu had a triple function: menu info, hand fun (it was hot july, and also had the name and a special quote dedicated to the person seating there).
